Skateboard Show

I am writing this blog to inform everyone that we have been steadily working on Party 4 Life/Skateboard Show. We have made a change in the location of the Skateboard Show. At first we wanted to have the show at the Civic Center, but after much planning we have decided that the best place for the show will be at the Fairgrounds. We have reserved the building at the Fairgrounds because it is the best place to do it. The floor is right for the skaters and we are not going to have worry about scratching it up. In addition, we were going to rent bleachers for the show and have to haul them over to the Civic. The bleachers that we were going to use were from the Lemoore High School. My wife and I went to measure the bleachers and there is no way that we could get them into the Civic. Looking at the Fairgrounds building we are going to have a better set up for the students and they are going to take care of the bleachers. We thought about maybe doing the show outside of the church building in the parking lot but it is too risky. We have paid good money to bring this team from San Diego and we want everyone to watch it. If we had it outside there could be a good possibly that it might rain or too cold for people to be outside. After much prayer and thinking we have decided to rent the the Fairgrounds. This is going to be an extra cost. We are praying that there will be people in our community that will give to help the teenagers of Kings County. If you would like to give a donation to help us with the skateboard show please email me at paul@kcfchurch.org

FRC Board Shop

I met with Joseph the owner of FRC Boardshop today. We talked about the Skateboard show. FRC will be our Exclusive Venue Sponsors for the Civic Center. We are excited about them joining with us today. They have a few guys that will help us get the Party started at 9:00pm. Some of the skaters that FRC sponsors will be doing a Pre-show before BFC starts their show. The BFC Team is on their Hide and SEEK tour and will be with us to help ring in the New Year. This is going to be awesome show! There will be several giveaways and the students will have a chance to win a skateboard and other prizes. We still need volunteers for this venue. If you would like to help make this a successful night please email me at paul@kcfchurch.org

Calling all Volunteers

We want to let you know that you can join a winning team. We are looking for a few good adults that will give their time to help save lives. We are looking for energetic, and caring adults that want to help youth have a good time instead of getting involved in drinking and driving, drugs and wild parties during New Year's Eve. You can help save lives and we invite you to join our team to make an impact in our community

We are not looking for people who are critical or judgemental. We are looking for fun loving, caring and adventurest adults who will help make Party 4 Life a sucessful event. We will be meeting in room #11 at Koinonia Christian Fellowship (12:30pm) for more info email me at paul@kcfchurch.org

I talked to Jennifer Fawkes from the Hanford Sentinel today regarding their involvement and sponsorship for the Party 4 Life Event. Jennifer stated that the Sentinel will be a co-sponsor this year. We talked about the cause and how the teenagers need this event on New Year's Eve. We are excited about the Sentinel joining with us to promote this event. We are very appreciative of their involvement and financial support this year. The Sentinel will help us get the word out about P4L. We believe that without there involvement it would be hard to get the word out to the community. P4L saves lives by keeping the students safe and off the streets. This is a worthy cause and we are so glad that various businesses are catching the vision to reach our youth before it is too late. We Know the Causes Research shows which behaviors contribute to teen-related crashes. Inexperience and immaturity combined with speed, drinking and driving, not wearing seat belts, distracted driving (cell phone use, loud music, other teen passengers, etc.), drowsy driving, nighttime driving, and other drug use aggravate this problem. Our goal is to help reduce the statistics and help save lives. The National Higway Traffic Safety Administration states that the teenagers are more at risk to getting into accidents if they are driving with other teens late at night!

Securtiy

We are working with AAA security for P4L. This morning I have a meeting with them to get the contract taken care of. I will be meeting with Tracy to discuss the event and the need for security on each K.A.R.T bus. Our main goal is to make sure that no one jumps on the bus that is not supposed to. We want to keep the students safe and make sure that no one distracts the drivers. We have had a safe event in the past and we plan to keep it that way this year. Mr. Prewitt will be helping me with the overall security at each venue. He will manage the volunteer security team at each site. We still need help so if you are interested in helping youth have a great time and stay safe please email me at paul@kcfchurch.org.

Calling all Sponsors!

Today, I talked to Linda from Hanford Bible Store. Linda stated that she would like to be a Venue Sponsor for the Civic Center. Linda and her Daughter Annette are excited about the BFC Skateboarders from San Diego. They are planning to give away door prizes, T Shirts, Music Cds and much more. They are a new sponsor this year and have signed up for the Gold Level.

We have three different levels that you can choose from if you are interested in sponsoring P4L
We have Silver, Gold and Platinum. Please contact me if you would like to make a donation to help us this year. Your business name and logo will be printed on 1,200 tickets, posters, 5,000 flyers, inserts distributed through The Hanford Sentinel, our web site and blogs, banners and a "Thank You Letter" in the Hanford Sentinel after the event. P4L can only happen if you participate and donate. We need your help in reaching over 1000 teenagers this year.
